Ways to Play

Four kinds of game, and the formats inside them — the distinction that shapes the whole app. All free.

Quick Game

Two taps to a scoreboard. No venue, no registration — pick teams, flip for serve, play.

Venue Games

A match played on a registered court, off the queue. It counts for more, because the app knows where you were.

Event & League Games

Matches that feed a bracket or a season. Same scoreboard, but the result goes somewhere.

Singles & Doubles

Both, properly. Serve rotation, side-outs and the second server are handled for the format you picked.

Teams & Guests

Play with people who are not on Vallio yet. Add them as guests in a quick or venue game and the match still scores and records.

Rules & Formats

Play to 11, 15 or 21, win by two or straight up. Set it once at the start.

Scoring

The on-court engine, and every screen that carries it — your phone, your wrist, or a tablet against the fence. All free except Big Board.

Real rules, live. Score from the phone or the watch — one game, not two.

Who won the rally?

0-0-2: The opening score. The first team gets one server, not two, so their first fault hands the serve straight over.
Side swap: Only the serving team scores, and only they change ends — watch the two players trade left and right on every point.
Side out: Give the rally to the receiving team and nobody scores. Server one gives way to server two; server two gives the serve away.

A rough simulation, not the app. It runs a stripped-down port of the real scoring rules — enough that the score, the serve and the side swaps behave the way they would on a court.

Score a match in real time, point by point. Serve, side-out and faults handled for you.

This is the screen a player lives on for the length of a tournament. Standings, every match, the pools, the bracket that comes out of them, and the chatter around it — without leaving the event.

In the app this screen also carries the pool grid and the bracket, which appear only for competitions that have them.

Events & Leagues

Two shapes of the same thing. An event runs and finishes; a league plays out over a season with standings.

Brackets & Schedules

Round robin, pool play with a bracket, king of the court, ladder — read where you are and who is next.

Registration

Sign-ups and waitlists, with a join code for the people you already know.

Substitutions

Swap players mid-match when your format allows it — tracked against the roster rather than improvised on the sideline.

Live Event Scoring

Matches score straight into the bracket. Standings and results update as they finish.

Where standing means something

Boards you can actually climb, competitions near you worth entering, and a running record against everyone you play often. Switch the board to see how the three rankings differ.

Six boards: Regular and Ranked across Overall, Singles and Doubles. Overall is free; the Singles and Doubles rankings are Champion.
Rivals: A head-to-head with everyone you play often. Who is ahead is free; the points split, streaks and court time behind it are Champion.

Tier names are the app's. Ratings and records here are made up.

Leaders, what is on near you, the tournaments and leagues you are in, and your rivals — one tab for anything that counts.

Leaderboards
