Is Vallio free?

Yes, and playing always will be. Keeping score, logging every match, finding courts, queueing for one, joining any event or league, hosting your own, posting, following people — none of that costs anything, and there is no cap on how much you play. Champion buys the reading of it, not the doing of it.

Why is it cheaper on the web?

Because the app stores take roughly 30% of anything bought inside an app, and a browser checkout does not. We pass that straight through rather than charging everyone the higher price. Subscribing here is $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year; the same subscription bought inside the app is $14.99 or $89.99. There is also a $149.99 lifetime option on the web, which never renews. It is identical either way — same account, same features, and it works on your phone the moment you sign in.

I subscribed in the app — how do I move to web billing?

Cancel in the App Store or Google Play, let the period you have already paid for run out, then subscribe again here on the web. There is no way to transfer a live store subscription across, so the wait is unavoidable — but it is the same account either way, and nothing in your history is affected.

What currency are the prices in?

US dollars, everywhere we sell.

What happens to my old matches on the free plan?

Nothing — they are still yours and nothing is deleted. A free account sees the last 14 days in its log and feed; Champion opens the whole archive back to your first game. Stop subscribing and the window comes back, but the history underneath it stays exactly where it was.

Can free accounts run events and leagues?

Yes. A free organizer runs four teams on one court, and can have one event and one league going at the same time — which covers most of what actually gets organized on a weekend. Champion doubles the size to eight teams on two courts, lets you run three of each at once, and lets you schedule a weekend of tournaments under one event or line up next season while this one is still being played.

What is Big Board?

Turn a device sideways during a match and it becomes a court-side scoreboard and scorekeeper — the score readable from the other end of the court, for everyone watching rather than just the person holding it. It works on a phone, but it was built for a tablet: stand one against the fence and the whole court can read the score. It is part of Champion.

Which platforms does Vallio run on?

iPhone, iPad and Android. There is a watch app for keeping score on your wrist on both sides — Apple Watch and Wear OS. The website handles signing up, subscribing and managing your plan; the game itself lives on your phone.

Does it renew automatically?

Yes. A subscription renews at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends — the same rule the app stores apply. A lifetime purchase never renews.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, and there is no contract. If you subscribed on the web, cancel from your account page here. If you subscribed inside the app, cancel through App Store or Google Play settings. Either way you keep Champion until the end of the period you already paid for.

Can I get a refund?

Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or under the refund policy of whoever took the payment. If you bought inside the app, refunds are handled by Apple or Google rather than by us — we cannot issue them for a store purchase. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the current period.

Is there a free trial?

Not in the usual sense, and deliberately — the free plan is not a trial. It does not expire, it is not a cut-down demo, and playing stays free on it forever. There is one way to get Champion for nothing: refer someone. When they use your code to subscribe you earn a free month, and if you are not already subscribed that month is Champion access outright. It is the closest thing to a trial we offer, and you earn it rather than watching it run out.
