Referral Program
Every account gets a referral code. Someone uses yours to subscribe to Champion on the web, they save 30%, and you get a free month.
Find it under Profile → Account → Referral Program, or from the side menu.
How it works
You already have a code. Every account is assigned one when it's created — there's nothing to apply for. The Share button hands off to your device's normal share sheet.
They save 30%. They sign up, and when it's time to pick a plan they switch to the web subscriptions and enter your code — the discount shows on the price before they pay.
That's 30% off their first year on the annual plan, or 30% off their first month if they go monthly. It isn't applied automatically; the code has to be entered.
They have to subscribe on the web. Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play can't take a code, so a friend who upgrades inside the app won't get the 30% and there's no way to apply it afterwards. Worth saying when you send the code.
You get a free month of Champion when they subscribe. Not when they enter the code or create an account: signing up is free, so the reward is tied to the purchase. It usually lands within a day.
For a limited time there's no cap on this — the months stack, so ten friends who subscribe is ten free months.
Your code
Your referral code is on the Referral Program screen, with a Share Code button that hands off to your device's normal share sheet — messages, email, wherever.
Your stats
The screen tracks three numbers:
Referrals — how many people have used your code.
Days earned — free Champion time you've accumulated.
Pending — referrals that have signed up but not yet subscribed. Nothing is lost while a referral sits here; it converts the moment they buy.
What the free month is worth to you
Four cases, and the screen shows you whichever one is yours rather than implying otherwise.
You don't subscribe. The month arrives as free Champion access, added automatically. It's the case where the reward is worth the most.
You subscribe on the web. Your renewal moves a month later, at no charge and with nothing billed twice.
Subscribed through the App Store or Google Play. You can still share, and your friend still gets their 30%. Adding free time to a subscription Apple or Google bills isn't something we can do from our side, so the month is held and applied once you're subscribed on the web. The referral is never lost.
Bought Lifetime. Your friends still save 30%, and there's no month to add to an account that already has Champion forever. The screen tells you that plainly instead of promising time you can't use.
Who to share it with
The people you already play with, and specifically the ones not yet on Vallio.
There's a practical reason beyond the credit. Until someone is registered and you're mutuals:
- ›You can only add them to games as a guest
- ›Guest games award no PaddleRank to anyone, including you
- ›No rivalry accumulates between you
So every regular opponent who isn't on Vallio is quietly costing you the value of those games. Getting them on is worth more than the referral credit.
See Teams & Guests.
Where it applies
The discount applies to your friend's subscription, so the program is about Champion rather than app access. Vallio itself is free to use — see Free vs. Champion.
The discount covers the monthly and annual plans — a year at 30% off, or a first month at 30% off. A lifetime purchase isn't part of it.
