Data & Privacy
What Vallio stores, and how to remove it.
What Vallio stores
Your profile — display name, username, photo, and account credentials.
Your games — scores, results, who played, rules used, and duration.
Your ratings and progress — PaddleRank across all modes, tier, milestones, challenges, and badges.
Your venue activity — check-ins, queue participation, reviews, and prompt answers.
Your social activity — posts, stories, comments, messages, and who you follow.
Your competition history — events and leagues you've joined or organized.
Your settings — notification preferences and app settings.
Location
Vallio uses location to show venues near you and power the map and Hot Venues lists. You control this through your device's location permissions, and the venue features are the only thing that depends on it.
Who sees what
Public on your profile — your display name, username, photo, PaddleRank, tier, and stats. Other players see these when you're added to a game, when they view your profile, and on leaderboards.
Controlled by following — your posts and stories go to your followers. Private events are visible to mutuals only. See Friends & Following.
Between you and the other player — direct messages.
Visible to the organizer — your registration when you join an event.
Games are shared by nature
Worth being clear about: a game has two sides, and its result belongs to both.
When you play someone, that game appears in their history as well as yours, feeds both ratings, and can appear in feeds. You can't delete a game from someone else's record — it's their result too.
Guests
A guest is a name in a single game, not a profile. Nothing accumulates for them and no account is created. See Teams & Guests.
Deleting your account
Profile → Settings → Delete Account, or through the account deletion page.
This permanently removes your account and its data. It cannot be undone — your games, PaddleRank, tier, badges, milestones, and history are gone, and there's no recovery period.
Deleting vs. canceling
Different actions with very different consequences:
Cancel your subscription — you stop paying and drop to Rookie. Everything is preserved and keeps accruing.
Delete your account — everything is erased.
If you just want to stop paying, cancel. See Managing Your Subscription.
