Achievements & Badges
Achievements are badges you earn by completing challenges and milestones. Every badge you can collect shows up in the grid.
The grid
One view with every badge in it — earned and unearned together.
Earned badges are filled in. Unearned ones are visible but not yet collected, so you can see what's out there rather than being surprised by badges you never knew existed.
Tap any badge to see its details — what it is and what earns it.
Where badges come from
Two sources, and every badge traces to one of them:
Challenges — badges earned by completing daily, weekly, and monthly challenges. See Challenges.
Milestones — badges earned from long-term milestone chains. See Milestones.
There's no third path. You don't earn badges directly — you earn them by finishing something else, and the badge is the artifact.
Two different kinds of difficulty
Because of the two sources, badges vary enormously in what they take.
Challenge badges are short-horizon. A weekly challenge is a few good sessions. Achievable in a week, gone if you miss the cycle.
Milestone badges are long-horizon. A milestone chain counting thousands of points scored or hundreds of games played represents months or years, and progress never resets.
Both live in the same grid, so it's worth knowing which you're looking at when a badge seems impossibly far away — it may just be a milestone you're two years into.
Seeing the unearned ones
The visible-but-unearned design is deliberate: the grid works as a map of what's possible, not just a trophy case.
Browsing it is the fastest way to find out what the app rewards. If a badge you want is tied to a milestone type you never advance — Clutch points, say, or Endurance — that tells you something about how you play.
They don't gate anything
Badges are recognition. They don't unlock features, affect your PaddleRank directly, or change what events you can enter.
The PaddleRank came from the challenge or milestone itself; the badge is the record that you did it.
