Challenges

Challenges give you specific goals to chase every day, week, and month. Completing them earns PaddleRank points on top of your normal game rewards.

Cadences

You get a fresh set of challenges on each cadence — daily, weekly, and monthly. Each cycle brings new ones rather than repeating the same set.

Unfinished progress does not carry over to the next cycle. A weekly challenge you're 80% through when the week ends is gone. The next week starts a new set from zero.

That's the fundamental difference from milestones, which never reset.

Progress and points

Each challenge has a target and a point value per unit of progress toward it.

You must complete the full challenge to earn anything. Partial progress pays nothing. Getting three-quarters of the way to a target and stopping is worth zero.

This makes challenge selection a real decision. Two challenges half-finished earn nothing; one challenge finished earns its full value.

The multipliers apply

Challenge points are scaled by both:

Source Multiplier — where you played.

Opponent Multiplier — who you beat.

This is the most underused thing about challenges. The same challenge completed in a league match against a higher-tier opponent pays dramatically more than in a quick game against a friend.

So check your active challenges before a high-value session. If you have a league match or an event coming up, knowing which challenges are live lets you finish them where they're worth the most.

Categories

Challenges are drawn from a set of categories, each testing a different aspect of your game — points scored, winning points, and others.

The variety is deliberate: a challenge set that only rewarded winning would just restate the win bonus. Categories push you toward parts of your game you might not otherwise track.

Playing them well

Read them at the start of a cycle. You can't complete what you haven't looked at, and the whole mechanism depends on knowing your targets.

Prioritize ruthlessly. All-or-nothing scoring means finishing two beats making progress on five.

Save them for valuable contexts where you can. A challenge finished during organized play is worth more than the same one finished in a park.

Don't distort your game for them. Challenges are a bonus layer over playing. Playing badly to chase a target is a bad trade.

Badges

Completing challenges earns badges, which appear in your Achievements grid.
