Reviews & Prompts
Venue information comes from the people who play there.
Reviews
Leave a review on a venue profile to tell other players what it's actually like.
The useful ones answer questions a listing can't:
- ›Are the courts in good condition, or is the surface going?
- ›Is it busy at the time you'd want to go?
- ›Is there shade, water, decent lighting?
- ›Does the stated access type match reality?
- ›Is it worth the drive?
The unhelpful ones are about a single bad session. Someone playing badly on a Tuesday isn't information about the venue.
Prompts
Prompts are specific questions about a venue — quick structured answers rather than free text.
They exist because that's how the profile fields get filled in. A venue's amenities, court count, and access details aren't scraped from anywhere; they're assembled from players answering questions about places they know.
Answering a couple of prompts at a venue you play weekly takes seconds and is the single most useful thing you can do for the next person searching there.
Why it matters more than it looks
Vallio's venue data is only as good as what players contribute. A profile reading No amenity info yet isn't a bug — it's a venue nobody has described yet.
If you have a home court, it's worth ten minutes once: leave a review, answer its prompts, add what's missing. That venue then works properly for everyone who finds it afterward.
Reporting a problem
If a venue's listed information is wrong — hours changed, access type is different, courts have closed — that's worth flagging so it can be corrected rather than left to mislead people.
Persistent problems can be raised through Help & Feedback.
