When Something Looks Wrong
Most reports come down to a handful of causes. Work through the relevant section before assuming a bug.
My game didn't award any PaddleRank
Check the registration rule first. This explains the large majority of cases.
Both teams need at least one registered (non-guest) player. If either side was entirely guests, no PaddleRank is awarded to anyone — the game still records with its full score and result.
See Teams & Guests.
I earned less than I expected
Two multipliers scale every game, and both can be lower than you assumed:
Source — where you played. A quick game earns the least. If your regular court isn't a listed venue, all those games are quick games. Adding the venue upgrades them.
Opponent — who you beat. Wins over same tier or lower get no opponent bonus. Only wins over higher tiers do.
Also check whether you expected challenge points from a challenge that wasn't actually completed — partial progress pays nothing. See Challenges.
I can't find a player when building teams
Only mutuals appear. You have to follow each other.
A one-way follow doesn't make someone selectable. Until it's reciprocal, you can only add them as a guest — which means the game won't count for either of you.
See Friends & Following.
I got skipped in the queue
You missed the confirmation deadline.
The sequence is: miss once → Skipped, sit out a round. Return → Warned. Miss again → removed from the queue, though you can rejoin at the back.
Stay near the court while you're in line. See The Court Queue.
I can't join a queue on a court
Common causes:
- ›The court is reserved for an event — it'll show a banner, and other courts at the venue are usually still open
- ›A game is already in progress
- ›The venue isn't a registered Vallio venue, so it has no courts to queue on
Voting isn't showing on a court
Voting is hidden once a game is being created or in progress on that court. It reappears when the court frees up.
It also only exists on courts at registered venues — quick games have no vote because you pick the format yourself.
See Game Type Voting.
I can't see an event someone told me about
Two independent filters:
Privacy — Private events are visible to mutuals only; Invite Only needs an invite; Following and Followers depend on the follow relationship.
Skill range — organizers can restrict registration to a PaddleRank range, and players outside it can't see the event at all.
The second one catches people out most. See Joining an Event or League.
My dashboard numbers look wrong
Check which mode you're on. The dashboard shows one of six modes at a time — Regular or Ranked, split by Overall, Doubles, and Singles. A number that looks wrong is often the right number for a different mode than you think you're viewing.
Ranked is coming soon, so Ranked modes will be empty.
Low-volume modes are noisy. A format you've played five times isn't showing a meaningful rating yet.
See Your Dashboard.
My challenge progress disappeared
Challenges run on daily, weekly, and monthly cadences, and unfinished progress does not carry over. A weekly challenge you were most of the way through is gone when the week ends.
This is the intended behavior and the key difference from milestones, which never reset.
My tier dropped
Inactivity Decay pulls ratings down during periods without play. Demotion Protection cushions drops out of a tier you've reached, but doesn't prevent them indefinitely.
Playing regularly avoids decay entirely. See Skill Tiers.
The leaderboard is blurred
You've selected Singles or Doubles. Regular · Overall is the free board — switch back to it and everything returns, including your Friend Rank. The other five are Champion. See What's Included with Champion.
I upgraded but still have free features
Use Restore on Profile → Account → Subscription. It re-links purchases from your app store account and resolves most cases, including after a reinstall or signing in on a new device.
If Restore doesn't work, contact support with your account email.
Notifications aren't arriving
Both the delivery method and the category must be on, and you have to tap Save Changes. Then check your device permits notifications for Vallio.
Full checklist: Notifications.
A venue's information is wrong
Venue data comes from players. Reviews and prompts are the fastest correction path — see Reviews & Prompts.
For problems those can't fix, use support.
Still stuck?
Report it through Profile → Settings. Include what you expected, what happened, and how to get there — plus which game or event, if it's a numbers problem.
See Help & Feedback.
