Venue Profiles
A venue profile is everything you'd want to know before driving there.
What's on it
Hours — open or closed right now, plus the weekly schedule.
Access — how you get on a court: Free, Drop-in, Hourly, Member, Membership, or Court rental.
Courts — how many, their names, and their current state. See How Courts Work.
Amenities — what's there. Shows No amenity info yet when nobody's filled it in.
Contact — phone, website, or whatever the venue has listed. Also shows an empty state when unknown.
Directions — hands off to your maps app.
Gallery — photos of the venue.
Reviews and prompts — what other players say. See Reviews & Prompts.
Checking in
Check in marks you as present at the venue, and you'll show as Checked in while you are.
Worth doing. Check-ins are how a venue shows as active — they're a large part of what drives the Hot Venues list. Checking in tells other players there's something happening, which is how the list stays useful for everyone.
It's also the natural first step on arrival, before joining a queue.
Missing information
Profiles are built from what's been submitted, so newer venues are thin. You'll see No contact info yet or No amenity info yet rather than invented data — Vallio would rather show a gap than guess.
If a venue you know well is missing details, submitting a review and answering its prompts is the fastest way to fill it in.
Venues and events
Events can be hosted at a registered venue, and when they are, courts get reserved for them. A court reserved for an event shows a banner saying so, and isn't available for general queueing during that window.
Playing here
Playing on a court at a registered venue makes your game a venue game, which is worth more PaddleRank than a quick game and unlocks the court queue and game type voting.
