What surfaces there
Recent games — results from your network.
Rival activity — what the people you have head-to-head records with have been up to.
Challenge progress — how you and others are tracking against challenges.
Competition activity — events and leagues in your network.
Posts and stories — see Posts & Stories.
What drives it
Who you follow. The feed is built from your network, so it's only as good as the people in it.
If your feed is empty or irrelevant, that's the thing to fix — follow the people you actually play with. It also has a second benefit: mutuals are who appear when you're building teams, and who can see your Private events. See Friends & Following.
Why games are in a social feed
Because results are the interesting part.
A game result is a small piece of news among people who play together — who beat whom, who's on a run, who finally won that rivalry. Putting results in the feed is what makes a scoring app social rather than a spreadsheet.
